Did you know Washington State is the 2nd largest wine region in the United States?
Washington State has been doing a tremendous job on promoting their wines and Behind The Cellar Door would like to do our part in helping them…
Here are some of the different wine regions:
Walla Walla Valley
Columbia Valley
Snipes Mountain
Red Mountain
Rattlesnake Hills
Yakima Valley
I’m excited to have the opportunity to introduce our customers to one of Washington State wine regions Walla Walla; it’s been called “the next Napa Valley”. Washington is known for the following grapes:
Cabernet Sauvignon
Chardonnay
Syrah
Riesling
Merlot
Here is the Waterbrook Winery I have visited and had the pleasure of tasting their wines. The property is beautiful and the tasting room offers a view of the Walla Walla scenery.
There are over 100 wineries in the Walla Walla wine region and this is just one of the regions in Washington State we will be visiting on our tour July 18-21, 2015.
