Depart: USA

 Day 1 – Northern Spain Wine Region 

Arrive at Bilbao Airport (Basque Country Northern Spain) meet our driver and transfer to Laguardia, Spain (2-hour drive)
Wine Tasting
Free time to relax after the flight
Welcome cocktail hour and dinner. A first taste of local Spanish gourmet cuisine
Overnight at Posada Mayor de Migueloa, Laguardia, Spain   (or similar) – 4 nights

Day 2   Northern Spain Wine Region – La Rioja

Breakfast and overnight in Laguardia, Spain
The La Rioja is without a doubt Spain´s most beautiful wine region, and an absolute treat for the food and wine lover!

Back to Hotel – Head to dinner, shop or just enjoy some free time – Check out the city of Laguardia

Day 3   Northern Spain – San Sebastian (2-hour drive)

Spend the day in Basque Country – San Sebastian – The Pearl of the North of Spain
It’s impossible to lay eyes on stunning San Sebastián (Basque: Donostia) and not fall madly in love. This city is cool and happening by night, charming and well-mannered by day. It’s a city filled with people that love to indulge – and with Michelin stars apparently falling from the heavens onto its restaurants, not to mention pintxo (tapas) culture almost unmatched anywhere else in Spain, San Sebastián frequently tops lists of the world’s best places to eat.

Day 4 –   Northern Spain Wine Region – La Rioja

Day 5 –    Drive to the Douro Valley in Portugal (5-hour drive)

Breakfast and check out of hotel and drive to the Douro Valley, a magical place. (nap on the bus)
Stop at a winery for lunch on the way
Visit a local wine bar and enjoy some local wines
Free time with dinner on your own –  Rest of the day at leisure
Overnight in Peso da Régua at Quinta do Terreiro  – 3 nights (or similar)

Day 6 – Douro Valley Wine Region 

Northern Portugal’s claim as the most beautiful wine region in the world is supported by the grandeur of its landscape and wines.
Famed for its Port wines, the Douro also offers redoubtable red table wines. Rich and powerful, they vie with the wine world’s top selections. We will be tasting them all.

Breakfast, Check out and head to Porto   – (1.5 Hour drive)
A day to explore Porto – Its walkable center is crammed with cobbled streets and balconies adorned with flowerpots, and the city’s love of food and design is apparent in concept stores and trendy restaurants offering innovative small plates. An ideal day in Porto combines both the grandeur of its history and its very up-to-the-minute cool.

Day 9 – Porto, Portugal

Breakfast, check out and catch flight to USA

**Depending on the availability of the wineries, the schedule is subject to change. Reconfirmation of the final itinerary will be finalized closer to the date of departure.
