Fun Fact: Not all sparkling wine is Champagne. Only wines from the Champagne region in France can be called Champagne (noting a couple of exceptions). Everything else is called sparkling wine but might be made “Méthode champenoise” (like Champagne). Sparkling wine is made many different ways and is called by different names based on the region. What we will be tasting:

Cava = Spanish Sparkling wine

Crémant = Sparkling wine made in 8 different appellations in France 

Franciacorta = Italian Sparkling

California Sparkling  = California! (Duh!)
