Chile and Argentina Sample Itinerary

Depart USA

Day 1 – Arrive Santiago, Chile

Depart for Casablanca Valley
Winery visit
Lunch at Casa Botha, ending at Valparaíso with some free time to relax.  Welcome cocktail hour and dinner.  Overnight at Sheraton Miramar Hotel (or similar)

Day 2 –   Valparaíso, Chile

Head out to the Aconcagua Valley a region heavily influenced by French winemaking traditions

Overnight at Sheraton Miramar.  Free time to watch the sunset over the ocean.

Day 3 – Santa Cruz, Chile

Check out and start the journey south to the Colchagua Valley.

Back to the Hotel for free time. Spend the afternoon perusing one of the most exhaustive and storied private collections of pre-Columbian art and artifacts in all of South America at the Museo de Colchagua or explore Santa Cruz.

Day 4 – Santa Cruz, Chile

For red wine lovers, a visit to the Colchagua Valley is a must.

Day 5 – Travel Day – Santa Cruz, Chile to Mendoza, Argentina

Breakfast at the hotel and a leisurely start to the day.  Return to Santiago for a quick flight across the Andes to Mendoza.
Check in to your hotel and tour the small, provincial city before enjoying a leisurely evening in town.

Overnight – Park Hyatt Mendoza (or similar).

Day 6 – Mendoza, Argentina – Luján de Cuyo area

Venture south to a more traditional wine region, Lujan de Cuyo, home to many of the nations’ top wineries and finest Malbec.  Visit a handful of wineries, including Lunch and Wine Tasting at a Winery

Day 7 – Argentina Wine Region – UCO Valley area

Today is all about the new frontier in Argentinian winemaking, the spectacular, high-altitude Valle de Uco situated in the foothills of the snow-capped Andes.

Free time to explore downtown.  Wine dinner at a local Winery.
Overnight at Park Hyatt Mendoza.

Day 8 – Mendoza, Argentina – Maipu wine area 

Off to Maipú—the province’s oldest wine region—

Day 9 – Mendoza wine region – Head back to Santiago to return to Dallas

Soak up one more free morning in “Argentina’s Napa Valley” before departing for the airport!
